LiMo OS

LiMo OS (short from Linux Mobile) is an open-source Linux-based operating system for handhelds, developed by the LiMo Foundation. The LiMo foundation was founded by a group of mobile phone makers and network operators – Motorola, NEC, NTT DoCoMo, Panasonic Mobile Communications, Samsung Electronics, and Vodafone. In September 2011 the project was renamed into Tizen. Intel and the Linus Foundation joined in on the bandwagon. LiMo wasn’t implemented on many consumer smartphones. The few examples include the Vodafone branded 360 M1, 360 H1, and 360 H2 handsets, which were developed and manufactured by Samsung by Vodafone’s requirements.
