HTC Launches Desire 830 with BoomSound in Taiwan

Taiwanese phone manufacturers HTC has just announced the Desire 830 for the Taiwanese market. This mid range phone is made from plastic and replaces the Desire 820 which is one of the phones in the company’s mid-range offerings. BoomSound speakers are present on the top and bottom of the phone just as in the newly released HTC 10 and the phone has a size of 5.5″ and 1080p display.

The Desire 830 phone is currently available in blue and red colors and measures 157.5 x 78.9 x 7.79 mm. Its sides, speakers as well as the camera ring are in an accent colors.

The phone has specifications of a MediaTek Helio X10 chipset with a 1.5GHz octa-core CPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It has a memory card slot that supports up to 128GB microSD cards.

At the back, its rear camera is a 13MP camera with OIS and f/2.0 aperture. It has a front(selfie) camera of a 4MP, f/2.0 UltraPixel snapper and its battery though non-removable is has a capacity of 2,800mAh.

The Desire 830 will go on sale in Taiwan on May 6 with a price tag of $310 (NT $9,990). There is a likelihood for HTC to push the sale of the Desire 830 outside its local market but there are no official news on this yet.
