The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) is now official as announced by Samsung.
The tablet which is ideal for mobile entertainment features a 10.1-inch display with a 1,920×1,200 pixel resolution and also features Samsung’s own PLS (Plane to Line Switching) which is a variation of the popular IPS panels.
The device measures 155.3 x 254.2 x 8.2mm and weighs 525g with a battery capacity rated at 7,300mAh.
The tablet is run on a platform supported by a 1.6GHz Octa-Core Exynos 7870 processor and 2 GB RAM. With this, it delivers the power needed for smooth playback of movies, photos or online videos.
It comes with an expandable internal storage of 16GB and can be expanded to up to 200GB. It has a 2MP f/2.2 front camera and an 8MP f/1.9 rear shooter, both can capture 1080p video.
To cater for family need/usage, the tablet has a multi-user mode which can support up to eight individual user profiles.
The tablet will become available in Europe by June will be available in the Black or White color. Its pricing will be around €289 ($329) for the WiFi-only variant and €349 ($397) for the LTE model which has a cellular connectivity.
